	Gulf Coast Relief - Hurricane Katrina - TEAM TWO Our team will be departing from the church for the Gulf Coast town of “Bay of St. Louis” at 3:00 am (Dec 5th). God has put on the hearts of fourteen people, the desire to leave family and friends, work and home, to spend the week serving the people of Mississippi who have lost family and friends, jobs and homes. 	Gulf Coast Relief - Hurricane Katrina - TEAM ONE In Louisiana, hurricane Katrina's eye made landfall at 6:10am on Monday, August 29. After 11:00am, several sections of the levee system in New Orleans collapsed. By early September, with over 1,300 fatalities, 10's of thousands left homeless, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff declared the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina as "probably the worst catastrophe, or set of catastrophes" in the country's history, referring to the hurricane itself plus the flooding of New Orleans. Spetember 20th, 2005 Calvary Chapel Modesto sent a team of volunteers to Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi to serve alongside Horizon Christian Fellowship Emergency Response Team. Read More.
